Young Professionals in Keighley will be able to utilise a new networking forum thanks to a partnership between employees at AWB Charlesworth Solicitors and Stirk Lambert Accountants.
Having recognised a need to facilitate the demand for a networking group that would appeal to a younger demographic working in the area, Chris Cooper, Charlotte Gooch and Richard Stratton decided to launch the Keighley Young Professionals Group.
The group, aimed at taking a fresh approach to networking, by enhancing business relationships within an informal, sociable environment. Thanks to support from the Keighley Bid, the group were able to host their first event of Pizza and a Pint last December which had attendees from several local businesses.
Building on the success of the initial event, the group have plans to grow and develop this further- with aims of quarterly events focusing on business development.
“We aim to create a vibrant social group which provides opportunities for networking and building professional relationships within an informal setting. We want people to come to our events and have a great time whilst still taking something away with them-whether this is business advice, a new contact or a work referral. We encourage everyone to attend the events, whether you are new into business, a young entrepreneur or just looking to meet like-minded young professionals we offer a forum which is different to your typical networking group.” Charlotte Gooch
Their next event is a Free Gin Tasting and is being held on Wednesday 18th April at the Lord Rodney in Keighley.
