TRANSATLANTIC CHALLENGE

TRANSATLANTIC CHALLENGE

In this our 10th year since the merger of AWB in Keighley with CWB in Skipton, we have decided to go transatlantic and raise money for a much needed cause. During the month of April members of the AWB Charlesworth team will be walking, cycling and running  the route between Armstrong, Wood, Bridgman and Charlesworth in United States of America (virtually of course). The distance is a massive 1079 miles as shown on the map below.

The event also ties in with the retirement of Martin Wood who will leave the firm at the end of March. Martin represents the W in AWB Charlesworth and is the last of the founding partners to retire.

Our chosen charity is Martin House which is  a children’s hospice whose mission is to help children and young people with a life limiting condition, along with their families, to live well and fully offering the best end of life care and support to the family in bereavement.  Martin House rely heavily on fundraising which has reduced substantially due to the current pandemic. Further details of Martin House can be found at the following website: www.martinhouse.org.uk/  You can also read some real life stories here.

Members of the team will be raising money through sponsorship. If you would like to donate to our very special cause please do so at the following just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/awbclaw
