When Armstrong Wood & Bridgman started in 2003, Martin Wood took on the role of senior partner until his recent retirement in March this year.
Martin received the top law degree at Birmingham City University and his efforts meant he was chosen to represent his college at an award ceremony in Edinburgh, where he was handed his degree by the Prince of Wales. Martin qualified as a solicitor in November 1979.
After qualification, Martin worked at a local firm before joining Gordons Solicitors where he was appointed to the Executive Board.
Martin has always specialised in property law and became very well established in the local area, developing extensive connections with local commercial and residential property sectors. He is known for his in-depth knowledge and approachable nature (and his very early starts!).
In his spare time – which hopefully he will have more of now – Martin enjoys playing bridge and one of his passions is dining at fine restaurants and cooking good food.
Martin has always been supportive of his staff and has always been extremely dedicated to his role, earning the respect of the local business community.
Martin will remain as a consultant of the firm for years to come and is well missed by his colleagues.
