Education/route taken to becoming a solicitor
I took mostly the traditional route attending Leeds Metropolitan University. Following a year out working I obtained my LPC at York Law School and then after another year working in commerce I started my training contract with a large firm in Humberside.
Area of work/specialisms
Commercial Property – this was my favourite subject at Law School. I also have an interest in property particularly older buildings. When I qualified I wanted to combine by interest of property with contact with people which I enjoy. I enjoy assisting clients with their property deals and ensuring that they achieve the best possible outcome for them.
Personal interests and hobbies
I am keenly interested in charity work being involved with the Real Junk Food Project, Saltaire Canteen and furthering awareness of food waste. I enjoy exercise be it working out at the gym, running, long challenging walks and tennis. I also enjoy physical challenges for charity. When I have the time away from work I like to visit the theatre/cinema and love spending time with family and friends.
