I went on to study the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Manchester and secured a training contract during this time at a local and well established firm. I qualified as a Solicitor in 2012.
I joined AWB Charlesworth Solicitors in July 2017 and continued my work in residential conveyancing.
What attracted you to a career in law
At Sixth Form, I found Law to be a fascinating subject and the idea of helping others through law really inspired me.
What interests Sobia about her specific area of law
It’s just the whole conveyancing process and the ups and downs that come with it. I enjoy the pressure and how everything comes together when you least expect it to.
What would be your ‘alternative’ profession if you were not a lawyer
I don’t know is the honest answer! I like travelling and helping people so maybe work with a charity.
What are your best personal qualities?
Determination, honesty, and resilience.
What are the most rewarding aspects of your work?
Appreciation from clients. Buying a house can be a difficult prospect for many people in today’s economic climate, helping someone reach that target is an accomplishment for me.
Sobia’s favourite pastime: Spending time with my family, shopping, and travelling when possible.
