Discounted legal advice for farmers from the Farmer Network

Legal advice from the Farmer Network

Discounted legal advice is currently available to Yorkshire Dales farmers.

The Farmer Network has secured funding from the Yorkshire Dales Farming in Protected Landscapes programme to provide vouchers to help farmers access business advice. This could be legal, financial or general business advice.

Examples might include succession planning, or adapting to the changes in the Basic Payment Scheme, farm diversification, or capital investment.

The vouchers cover 40% of the cost of the advice up to a maximum value of £500.

If the changes to APR or BPR are concerning you and you’re thinking of seeking professional advice, these vouchers could offer you a good reduction off normal fees.

And if you haven’t heard of the Farmer Network they’re an interesting group. An independent, not-for-profit support organisation for farmers and their families in Cumbria, the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland. They understand the challenges and concerns of the farming community in this very specific corner of the world.
