Thomas Connell is a Solicitor working in our commercial property department, and is based at our Skipton office.
Thomas has a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of York, and a Legal Practice Course qualification from the University of Law at Leeds.
Thomas began his career in Residential Property. He joined AWB Charlesworth in October 2019 as a Paralegal in the Commercial Property department and has also worked with the Litigation team. He began a Training Contract at the firm in 2022, and qualified as a solicitor in December 2023. He has gained extensive experience, working on sales, purchases, drafting leases and related documents, and acting on behalf of property management companies.
Tom won Apprentice of the Year at the 2023 Craven Business Awards due to his ‘can-do’ attitude, work ethic, care and attention in his work and unfailingly politeness. He has presented on legal ethics at Ermysted’s Grammar School, engaging the students with fascinating legal dilemmas. And Tom now handles his own transactions, running a large portfolio of property management matters.
Thomas enjoys the tangible nature of the work and feels it has a real impact on the world. He pays attention to what results his clients want and is happy to break down confusing legal issues for them. This ensures they have a proper understanding of what action needs to be taken to resolve their matter and how AWB Charlesworth can assist them.
