Thomas Connell, a trainee solicitor at AWB Charlesworth Solicitors Limited, has been awarded a special recognition award at the Keighley business awards.
Thomas was entered into the best apprentice/trainee category and narrowly missed out on taking first prize.
The awards support and celebrate the great work being done by businesses and voluntary organisations in Keighley and Airedale.
Thomas has been at AWB Charlesworth Solicitors for 3 years and last year was offered a training contract.
Currently working in the commercial property department, Thomas was put forward for the award due to his enthusiasm, commitment and hard work.
“I was happy to be nominated by my firm,” says Thomas. “It’s nice to know my colleagues appreciate the effort I have been putting in. I am grateful for the wider recognition of my commitment to my job and my efforts to improve myself, I hope that this will reassure future potential clients that I will provide them with the high levels of client care and quality that AWB Charlesworth Solicitors puts at the forefront of its work for clients.
“Thank you again to everyone at AWB Charlesworth for their support and to everyone at the awards who felt I deserved this recognition.”
Janine Eaglesfield, a director in the commercial property team, says of Thomas’s achievement, “we are delighted that Tom has gained this recognition from such a fantastic organisation. This was the first year back for the Keighley Business Awards since COVID and AWB Charlesworth. Solicitors were delighted to once again show their support for the awards sponsoring the award for Micro Business of the year which was won by Davies Properties. As a local firm, we understand the importance of the Keighley Business Awards and believe it is a great way to recognize local businesses and the contribution they make towards the local economy”.
