We’re proud to announce we’re sponsoring Keighley Cricket Club this season!

Just a stone’s throw away from our offices on Royd Ings Avenue, the club has been around nearly as long as we have! First formed in 1848 on Dalton Lane, the club moved to its new home on Lawkholme Lane, twenty years later. Meanwhile AWB Charlesworth has been in this patch of Yorkshire for a little bit longer – almost 300 hundred years.

We’re solicitors embedded in the community. We work with local groups, organisations, schools and charities to support the activities that you’re proud of and that make our communities special. From swimming to rugby, school prizes to charity raffles, we donate money and gifts, and earlier in the year 300 bananas (but that’s another story!) And alongside, we support Manorlands, our dedicated charity of choice, and an organisation we are truly honoured to be involved with.

On top of all that, we organise the Keighley Business Lunch to bring together a wide variety of thriving local businesses to network with each other and help the community to keep growing and thriving. The lunch is a fantastic way of sharing news, and creating a positive business environment in the town. There are over 4000 companies listed on Companies House for the Keighley area, meaning this is a hub chock of businesses doing new and interesting things.

So, get yourself down to Keighley Cricket Club: soak up some Yorkshire sunshine and enjoy the sound of leather on willow, in the knowledge that you too are supporting the community and a little piece of history!
