Felicity is a member of the Law Society Risk and Compliance section.
What attracted Felicity to a career in law firm management? After I completed my undergraduate degree I decided to get a job as a receptionist in a professional office for some experience. The next thing I knew I was office manager, compliance officer and then practice manager. My career has evolved over the years and I completed a Masters degree in Business Administration whilst working in order to inform and improve my day to day work.
What interests Felicity about practice management?: I have two goals: firstly, to organise the efficient, smooth running of our four busy professional offices so that all my colleagues can get on with the important task of doing a great job for our clients. Secondly, to drop in plenty of ideas or innovations to ensure we are regularly reflecting on how we can move the firm forwards to be the best it can be.
If she were not a practice manager: Felicity would have trained to be a teacher
Felicity’s favourite pastime: Pottering about at home, or running in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales
An unusual fact about Felicity: she lived on the Outer Hebrides for a short time
Felicity’s best personal quality: persevering
The most challenging aspect of Felicity’s role: juggling my two goals above!
